Patrafee celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Which naturally makes a substantial presence at the biggest IPR events of the year - INTA in Berlin and AIPPI in Boston - both appropriate and important. If you are visiting either of these events, we would be delighted to see you.

There is plenty that is new this year, not least on the software side. We are launching a new version of PatraWin, our popular application that is used by some of the most renowned IP law firms in the Nordic region. The interface has been given a comprehensive facelift and as previously reported, it is based on the modern standardised .NET platform. We have also introduced a new version of IPR Control, our internet service tool for clients who want greater control over their matters at both their IP agency and with us at Patrafee.

Together with our partners we view this no charge service as a natural way to extend our availability and a further move in the direction of electronic communication.

We are also striving to improve our service on many fronts, and as ever without compromising security. We are fully aware that security and predictability are two of the most appreciated – and distinguishing – sides to the service we provide.

Our shared concept of Patrafee as an integrated part of the range of services offered by our partners remains as sustainable today as the day it was launched. Patrafee and PatraWin Data AB have merged

As a result of the merger with Patrafee, PatraWin Data AB has ceased to exist as a company. We will continue to further develop and market the PatraWin system under the same name, exactly as before.
Interest in the combination of PatraWin and our services is continuously growing and we view the merger as a natural next step in delivering greater clarity to our customers. Our new structure will also mean a greater focus on PatraWin as a product and part of our total market offer.

This year’s AIPPI-congress – as always an important IPR event – is being held at the The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, September 6-11. The exhibition hall is open September 8-10 and you find us in booth 101. The congress is being held in the United States for the first time in 33 years. See you at INTA in Berlin / 2008-03-07
With 80 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors the INTA Annual Meeting is a must attend event for everyone involved in the trademark industry. This year’s meeting is being held in Berlin from 17-21 May and naturally Patrafee will be there. You can find us at stand 123 and also at our hospitality suite in Q! Hotel. Several IP companies put on Swedish Trade Federation warning list / 2008-01-11
Fraud also exists in the IP sector, as shown by the Swedish Trade Federation warning list that was recently updated with new names. The Swedish Patent and Registration Office had earlier issued a warning about fraudulent companies seeking to extract “agent’s fees” to prevent alleged trademark infringements by foreign companies – very similar in a way to earlier cons about the need to register domain names with foreign suffixes. Patrafee to participate in ICANN Week / 2007-03-22
Patrafee will be represented at ICANN Week 26 - 30 March . Discussions during the week will include news and the network infrastructure etc. We anticipate tremendous emphasis on IDN domain names. The event is free and open to everyone. EURid is also organising a meeting for agents in association with the conference. Read more at icann-lisboa.pt.

New MD for Patrafee AB / 2006-12-06
Mats Polkander has been named the new MD of Patrafee AB. He succeeds current MD Gert Andersson, who has headed the company since 1991. Mats Polkander comes from PBK Outsourcing Sverige AB where he is currently MD and marketing and sales director. Mats has also worked for Svea Ekonomi, Posten and Intrum Justitia. He has extensive experience within finance, sales and marketing. Mats Polkander takes up his position on 1 March 2007 and will work in parallel with Gert Andersson for the first two months.

Patrafee at the AIPPI-congress
in Gothenburg / 2006-09-06
Patrafee will attend the AIPPI Congress in Gothenburg between 8 and 11 October. You will find us in booth number 27 at the Gothenburg Convention Centre, were we will be demonstrating our products and services. AIPPI (Association International pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle) is a non-profit international organisation, dedicated to IPR interests. This 40:th biannual congress is expected to attract up to 2000 participants from the IPR-industry. Further information on the AIPPI website.
